Wherever Trent went, they collected memories just as they collected stamps in their journals—like postcards to themself. After they floated in the Dead Sea, they wrote, “Floating is the closest I’ll ever get to flying.” To commemorate that experience, they settled on a wave tattoo on their wrist. They sat with their journal open on their lap, wrist perched on the armrest.
“Ready?” the artist checked before touching the pen to their skin.
