Jug after jug of leftover milk lined the counter next to Colby. Aelia grimaced, attempting to catch Colby’s gaze. “Are you okay?” she asked, concerned the barista was about to pass out. 

Colby offered a subtle nod in return.

“Okay, well, um…” Aelia began, trying to figure out how she could help, “I have a potential client meeting that shouldn’t last long. Can I buy you a drink after so you can chill for a bit?” 

Colby looked up, wide-eyed, as her face flushed, “Uh…um…sure,” she sputtered. “Just come find me when you’re done.”
